Lady in the Lake

"This is actually a really good miniseries! An extremely well-acted series that explores the lives of 2 women (one Jewish and another Black) who are trying to break free from their circumstances and how their lives intersect during the 1960s civil rights era, with the series also exploring the ways with which each community were affected by the events of the times. Fantastic performances by the 2 main leads (Natalie Portman and Moses Ingram). Incredible direction by Alma Har’el along with production values as well. This is such a riveting series to watch overall, and one worth recommending. Side Note: Noah Jupe has been having quite a year, appearing in this and FRANKLIN (both Apple TV Plus miniseries) playing the child or grandchild of the main character played by an Oscar-winning actor or actress (he plays the son of Natalie Portman’s character here)."
