"To me this was oddly similar to the “After” series as far as the lead male being a tortured soul who was abusive at times. I don’t know why I like these show, but I do. I will, however, say that I got frustrated with the main girl character (not the actress). I mean it took 19 or 29 episodes before she could sort of admit her feelings. Loved all the supporting characters. The male lead was outstanding IMO. "

I’ve definitely seen cdramas that were way better than this one, but I did watch the whole series. I’d give it a 5/10. Just not my cup of tea"

"I was fighting myself not to drop it by the first half of the show, but I’m so glad I didn’t! I bawled my eyes out, laughed like an idiot, and even punched my pillow in frustration watching this lol! The drama takes a WHILE to finally start kicking off, and I found myself wishing some of the unnecessary and repetitive bits were cut. However; the story is just so beautiful and I learned to love and appreciate it all by the ending. Trust me, you’ll be super irritated by the FL for leading on the ML in the beginning, but you learn to love both of them so much! The character development in this drama is actually insane, too, like when you think back to how naive Shancai used to be and how much of a jerk Dao Ming Si was it’s genuinely shocking how much they’ve grown! The entire last episode is dedicated to tying up the story so it doesn’t feel rushed at all, and you get to see where all of the characters are now. All in all, this is a must-watch for all Asian drama lovers!!! :,)"

"Pretty good show. Do NOT watch if you get triggered by abuse. Though not ‘abuse’ abuse, I still kinda consider it. There’s multiple scenes where main girl gets pushed against a wall, verbally and partially physically attacked by the main boy love interest. It’s still a pretty good show however, and though I haven’t finished it yet, that’s the only real issue I have with it so far. UPDATE: Nevermind. Literally everything in the show is based on peer pressuring the main character into going out with the main male lead, and all of the characters literally just make excuses for him. Using the **** of ‘he used to be worse before meeting you’ bull crap. It’s frustrating when they don’t know how to properly communicate with eachother🤦🏽‍♀️ UPDATE AGAIN: finneee I guess it’s pretty good. I just wish that it didn’t take this long for it to get to the point where I didn’t want to punch most of the characters😂 "
