"Absolutely lovely. Fabiola's story felt true to a modern Black teen in Detroit. It's truthful and balanced the complications of being a teenager and missing her mom/home very well in my opinion. With tragedy, mystery, and love you'll find yourself truly rooting for our main character."

"I could feel the authenticity of the authors voice shine through the story. The book has a steady beat to it with a steep incline and quick decline to the ending. The author doesn’t keep trailing breadcrumbs to drag out the story further because it’s unnecessary. The characters feel genuine and I am glad I read it."
