"WHAT??!! How could she end it like that!? The way this book had me in a chokehold... I was so disappointed to see that this isn't a part of a series. It's my first audio book, and I loved it. So many twists and turns, and the drama! It was endless. Betrayal, broken marriages, gossip. It was like reading two thrillers in one! Now I have to go put more Shari Lapena books on my tbr..."
"The first 15 minutes of this audiobook had me thinking I wasn’t sure if I could finish it, because I wasn’t a huge fan of the narrator, but I stuck with it and really enjoyed it!! The narrator grew on me and did do a good job, slightly tweaking her tone for each character. The story was great, there was a good twist near the end, and it kept me interested! "
"This is my first read by Shari Lapena and I now know I must read everything she writes. This book was so hard to put down. There are many characters who have all played with fire in one way or another. When everyone seems guilty it is hard to guess who really is. Every few chapters another character’s secrets are revealed and make you second guess everything you thought you had put together. The ending is left open, leaving the possibility (and hopes) of a sequel. "
"This book had me thinking everyone was a killer. Intriguing read!"
