"I loved this book so much I read it in a week! It immerses you in the world it creates it’s like reading a movie script, with how it flows effortlessly and tells a story about a strong friendship gone awry. The atmosphere of this book is what kept me reading, it’s fun, slightly campy and can show the cattiness of teenage girls but with the spookiness of an exorcism. "
"3.5/5
it's starts Pretty slow I just didn't really care about the little teen drama that was going on and I didn't truly care for the characters but the 60% mark got good and picked up it was entertaining but still Sort of dragged in some parts what was cool was the vibes of the 80's setting it was pretty effortlessly done another thing I liked about the book was the ending parts it was fun I took this read as more of a horror comedy but there was some pretty gross parts in this that were horror"
"So I will warn you that this probably isn't the review you seek when analyzing if you should read this book. The story was good. The time period I think brought it to a whole other level. The thing is I watched the movie first which I don't like to do but in my defense I didn't know it was a book. As I have stated in my other reviews it muddles my feeling and enjoyment of the story when I already know what happens and honestly the director stays pretty close to the source material.

On top of that during the Halloween season I read as many spooky books as I possibly could and I think this suffered from that. The writing was well rounded the friendship good and relatable. I guess for me maybe more character depth would have been better. I liked it I just wasn't wowed. Though I did think the weight lifters for god was hilarious."
"A humorous creepy novel! The story definitely keeps you on your toes and has a heartfelt ending."
