"I think I’m being a bit generous with the three stars here because Moriarty always makes me laugh. This is very obviously her first book, and probably my least favourite so far. The seeds of a good story are there, but the writing is uneven and the plot just sort of wanders. She’s also included these weird observational bits about the triplets, from random observers whose identity we rarely have insight into. They really add nothing to the story, and when a technique adds nothing it should be cut. Still, I’m clearly the target audience for Moriarty’s work as a white middle class 30-something, and I’m left with a warm gently amused feeling. Not one I’ll re-read though.

Content warnings on this one for divorce, miscarriage, infertility."

"So amazing and so sweet. It was so heartfelt and just dragged me in. I'm not sure how I would feel if I was going through everything that they do in this story, but this is really beautifully written. Getting to read the story from the male and female sides just makes the story better. I couldn't find anything better to read. This is just wow.... You have to read this to truly understand how wonderful this book is because no amount of praise will do it justice."
"4.5 stars. This is actually my favorite Liane Moriarty book that I've read! Usually I consider her a good-to-average author, but this one felt like it had REAL depth of character and I thoroughly enjoyed the writing style."
