If he had been with me everything would have been different... I wasn't with Finn on that August night. But I should've been. It was raining, of course. And he and Sylvie were arguing as he drove down the slick road. No one ever says what they were arguing about. Other people think it's not important. They do not know there is another story. The story that lurks between the facts. What they do not know—the cause of the argument—is crucial. So let me tell you...

"I did not enjoy the ending also many moments made me cringe throughout the book like her tiara scenes. (SPOILER ALERT)
Im being honest here I never noticed that Autum was depressed there were scenes she was sad or saying stuff, but I didn’t think that it was to that extreme only after her mom points it out to her is when her whole character changes to that. My thoughts on Autum are she was so naive when Finn did so many things to prove his feelings for her also she didn’t grow up mentally at all she never admitted to anything she was feeling or thinking even the final scenes with finn seemed off. I think Finn’s character was great despite the lack of communication with anyone besides Jack. The whole cheating in the end was wrong, he was never doing the right thing with Sylvie when he lead her on the whole time and no it was not romantic what he said to Autum “But I also feel like I been loyal to something bigger” um no finny you were doing what her ex did to her but to Sylvie and thats terrible she had some character growth (the only one that did honestly) she tried to get along with Autum we didn’t hear about it anymore but it did happen! In conclusion this whole story just yells “SPEAK UP”. "

"*WARNING THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS* This broke some many people's hearts and made them sob, it only made mine drop but didn't make me cry. I think it shocked me with that first chapter but by the end, I already knew what happened soooo....yea. Anyways, from chapter 2 and on, I really didn't know what was going to happen, it made me think okay how is this going to progress, how is everything going to add up in the end. I was constantly on the edge. I was very suspicious with Sasha and Jamie, there was always something there and I thought okay come on Autumn, be real here and see what's in your face. I knew there was something missing from the story of how Autumn and Finny "grew apart", it was shocking to finally find out that he had kissed her. Now, this is where my reasoning for giving this book a 4 stars instead of 5. THE MISCOMMUNICATION TROPE!!!! If they had only talked about how each of them felt for the other and within that moment everything else wouldn't have happened. All that time wasted and for what because she got scared, and he didn't talk to her? Seriously?!! It was sad that they only got the summer together and for one night have everything be perfect only for him to die. Honestly, I don't blame Autumn for wanting to be with Finny, it was unfair and she was depressed more. But that revelation of her being possibly pregnant was crazy. I feel really bad for his mom, but hopefully she was and she'll at least have a piece of her son. Now, I didn't cry, right? Well, apparently if you listen to the song "Ivy" by Frank Ocean right after finishing this book, you will literally be sobbing even worse if you cried before the song. I will be reading the next book, from his pov. I'm pretty sure it'll hurt a heck of alot more though."
"I feel like this story had the potential to be that beautiful heartbreaking story you can’t get out of your head, but the author just wasn’t the right person to write it. I hated every minute of it. "
