"DNF at about 50 pages. I loved Flight of Dreams by Ariel Lawhon, and was so excited to get into this one. However, it's hard to keep track of what's going on - Anastasia's story is told in chronological order, but Anna's story is told backwards. Honestly, it ruined the book for me. It got complicated, and I just wanted to read the story without having to flip back or try to put things in order. I understand that the author was trying to create a unique story, but it just didn't work for me with that way it was set up. Thank you so much to Doubleday for sending me an early copy."
"The Russian Revolution has always interested me. Although this book is purely fiction it was a good look into the lives of the Russian people after the war."

"This book was a slow read for me, but I liked the story. The ending was not what I expected (even though it’s historical fiction lol) and it made the whole book make sense. If you are interested in the Romanovs or Anastasia at all this book gives a really good look into their lives up until the end."
"Although a fictious look at Anna Anderson and her life as she fought to be recognized as the real Anatasia, we are also given glimpses at the life of the grand duchess herself from the moment they realized the revolution had been brought to their doors. The story was fascinating to read and we had two sets of lives being played out before us but each with a different ending. <br/><br/>The rest of this review can be found at <a href="https://ebookreview.dreamwidth.org/47489.html">The Book Review</a>"
"Riveting from the first paragraph. It was so innocently written in a non linear timeline, that it captivated my attention each moment"
