Two ordinary women make a deadly pact to take revenge for each other after being pushed to the brink in this “unguessable and unputdownable” (Alex Michaelides, #1 New York Times bestselling author) psychological thriller, perfect for fans of Gillian Flynn and Alfred Hitchcock. One dark evening on New York City’s Upper West Side, two strangers meet by chance. Over drinks, Amanda and Wendy realize they have much in common, including an intense desire for revenge against the men who destroyed their families. As they talk into the night, they come up with the perfect plan: if you kill for me, I’ll kill for you. In another part of the city, Ruth is home alone when the beautiful brownstone she shares with her husband, Scott, is invaded. She’s attacked by a man with piercing blue eyes, who disappears into the night. Will she ever be able to feel safe again while the blue-eyed stranger is out there? “Explosive, game-changing” (Publishers Weekly, starred review), and unpredictable, Kill for Me, Kill for You will keep you guessing until the final page.

"Propulsive story of revenge, alternate identities, double crosses and strangers-on-a-train-like murders. Gripping"

"The way my jaw dropped by the end of this book. I love some Alfred Hitchcock vibes and this book delivers. The story takes a play from “Strangers on a Train” and is told in multi-POV format. This author does a great job building tension and really makes you think about where the line blurs between victim and perpetrator. I would absolutely recommend this to my thriller loving friends."

"<b>Kill for Me, Kill for You</b> by Steve Cavanagh<br/><br/>A mysterious adult psychological and suspense-filled crime thriller about two ordinary women with a tragic past who agree to help each other take revenge for crimes that haunt them daily and have pushed them to the brink of despair.<br/><br/>Two women meet by chance at an anonymous support group for people who have been or are closely affected by a brutal attack. Over drinks, Amanda and Wendy find that their past is similar and begin a friendship bonding over their pain and loneliness since their lives were forever altered by an evil heartless killer. They both have an intense desire for revenge against the men who destroyed their families and in turn broke them as well. One night, when Amanda realizes that Wendy has the same desire to take justice into her own hands as Amanda was plotting to do, they come up with the perfect if you kill for me, I’ll kill for you. <br/><br/>In a different area of NYC, Ruth is home alone in the brownstone she shares with her husband, Scott, who is out for the night. She hears a breaking sound thinking her husband dropped something when she discovers that her home is being invaded. She’s brutally attacked by a stranger and left for dead. A man with piercing blue eyes, who disappears into the night, and his face is forever etched in her mind. Knowing that the blue-eyed stranger is still out there, she cannot return to her home in fear that he will return and finish the job, and she refuses to leave the hotel room she and her husband are staying at too scared that he will come for her. <br/><br/>How are these 3 women's stories linked in this nail-biting thriller of psychotic men still lurking in the world living their lives like they have never killed anyone? This story will keep your heart racing until the very end when things all start to become clear and the killers come out of hiding to try and finish what they started. <br/><br/>This was chosen as a thriller book club pick this month on Instagram hosted by Aimee @readalongwithaimee and was a HUGE hit with the group.<br/> <br/>There isn't any spice in this story, but it talks about kidnapping and murder of children, suicide, brutal attacks on women, mental health, stalking, and psychological trauma. This was a fantastic book and enjoyed it immensely."

"KFMKFY is gripping tale of revenge and secrets. This story offers a fresh take on 'Strangers on a Train' with plenty of its own twists and turns. I was hooked until the final page.
Though I can't say much else about it without nodding to spoilers, the plot is clever, offers good tension, and keeps the reader engaged. There’s some fun misdirection, and the final reveal had me reeling! "

"I loved his novel, Thirteen, so when I saw him come up as a selection for the Book of the Month, I had to pick this one up. As a former lawyer, the details of his novels are always really well executed. Several characters and entangled in a murder case, with cliff hangers at every turn - it was hard to put down. Steve does a great job of guiding my thinking in one direction just to be twisted another way. In the end, all of the stories finally intertwine and we learn just why they are set into the novel to begin with. They all play a little part of one another's trauma. <br/><br/>I happened to pick this book up right before my mom passed, and I can't express how wonderfully distracting this book was for me. I read the acknowledgements and nearly cried. "If you have read this book, then I want to thank you for doing so. I really hope you enjoyed it. Even if you didn't like it all that much, I am enormously pleased that you took the time to read it. And I want you to know that I think about you a lot. I want you to have been entertained while you read, and for you to have forgotten any troubles you have. At least for a while. For that's what reading is all about. I hope all our troubles pass, and I wish you all peace and light." <br/><br/>So I am just here to say thank you. You did just that and more. Hope others find an escape in this great read, too."
