"*WARNING THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS* This was a lot. I knew that this was a dark romance, I mean if the trigger warnings weren't enough, then I don't know what is. There were things that didn't sit well with me. I mean Addie was a weirdo lol. For her to think of having a stalker and going through with nonconsensual "things" happen more than once, is crazy. She's crazy! Zade is crazy too, so I guess they belong together. I will admit, they each had there funny moments, they made me laugh at times. While I do not condone what happens in this book, I do like Zade's reasoning for the illegal things he does. Those people are sick for torturing, killing, raping and selling children to adults. It does bring light to the actual world given that most of this does happen, it's very hard to hear about and it tough for me to read about it. I understand why people said, "If you're going to read this book, put all your morals aside." I also know that people have said to read the novella but I didn't need to, I got a good enough backstory on sibby. I thought the chemistry between Zade and Addie was forced obviously but more like, she literally had no choice but to fall in love with him. I mean the dude wouldn't leave her alone, she has severe Stockholm syndrome if you ask me. I thought maybe one of their friends had betrayed them like Daya or Jay but I guess not. But maybe it's Michael and daya probably got kidnapped because of max. I'm glad I have part 2 but I'll admit I'm nervous and kind of scared to read it, only because I've heard its worse than book 1. Anyways, good read if you really enjoy dark romances, if you don't then stay very far away."

"Complete honesty, I really did like this book! I thought the plot was good and Zade…. 🤤. It just was some of the **** scenes… I guess I’m not into dark romance like I thought! The first one with the gun I was just like… EW. That’s the only reason I have it as a three star! Also with all the TW and everyone saying to read the triggers I guess I just expected… something different idk. Zade’s devotion though.. speaks enough for itself"

"This was good but wayyyyyy overhyped, in my opinion. I kind of wish there was more story than ****, but I also know that that's like the point of dark romance soooo yeah. Four stars overall, but I would definitely recommend if you're into that kinda stuff because wow, this was a rollercoaster ride of tension and steaminess."

"I cannot judge the book too hard about the stalker premise because going in I knew it would involve that. What I didn’t expect was my complete dislike of most characters. It’s rare for me to shelf a book as dnf and so despite my aversion to the plot, I kept going. I was curious about why this book got so much hype and I don’t think I’ve read a dark romance book. Safe to say I won’t be making that mistake anytime soon. “For the first time, this moment with Zade feels consensual. And I’m not sure if I want that.”Page 379. This line sums up the whole thing. I wanted to emphasize for the MC, even if I didn’t like her but I realized pretty early on she’s as crazy as the male lead. They’re a match made in hell. The background plot with Gigi was the only thing I was interested in but then I figured out who did it pretty early on so that was a bummer too. And although the cliffhanger ending is supposed to entice me into grabbing the next book, I’m perfectly content if both main characters end up dying tbh 🤷‍♀️😂✌️"
