"This book is brutal, but what I loved about it was how real everyone seemed to me. Being a Jewish person, it's sometimes hard to read books about WW2, but this one was the kind of "hard to read" that really made you think. It's beautifully written and each character truly has their own voice, even though there are so many."
"Loved it 🤎"
"Loved this one! ❤️❤️❤️"
"Not usually my type of book due to killings by Nazis, but it was a well written story and the protagonist is a beautiful soul. She went out of her way to protect Jews hiding from the Nazis and did everything she could to help keep the people safe in the huge forest in Germany. I forgot the main character's name, but she was raised in the forest by an elderly woman. I won't say anything more except that it's an excellent read."
"I absolutely love this book! I fell in love with the characters and didn’t want it to end. "
"I loved this book in the most moving and heart breakable way possible."
