Breaking Dawn - Likewise Book Reviews
"This last book blew me out of the water so much information in one place. It went to crazy places I didn't see coming. So many new characters to keep up and all with amazing powers and stories. This is more like 2 stories in one. It's hard to write this review without giving things away just so much happens. It starts with love, surprise, intimate despair, a change, war, families, the end. That's all I can do."

"The ending was so satisfying!"
"The book was good. I wasn't sure how they were going to gave the 2 POV's. I mean Bella is usually the main character. Then I saw the read the book and saw the movie(s). 2 movies for Breaking Dawn. I like how they did that. They HAD to do that. Bella died. Jacob did the 2nd POV, but in werewolf narration. That was interesting. I am glad there was no ultimate battle. Me and a guy literally shouted out loud in the theaters, "NOOOOOO!!!!!" when a character died. I kid you not. Vampire Bella scares me which I like of like, weird, right? Better than boring Bella. Twilight one she was she was new to the school so she was boring. Twilight 2, she found Jacob and Edward. Then the Cullens disappeared and she was depressed. Twilight 3, she has a love triangle with both boys. Actually all movies but even in that one, even in the tent. Anywho, scary cool Bella. She has powers. She had the shield powers all the time with Edward. He couldn't read her mind. Paramore had the song "Decode." "My thoughts you can't decode." I don't think any of the vampires but Alice can use her powers. Twilight one with the ballet studio and Twilight 2 with the cliff diving. I know I ramble. Thats all I can think of "
"Ugh that one was hard to pull through but I finally got around it! After all itās not so bad as I expected it to be, though there were some interminable length to it that could and shouldāve been cut off. The story would have been juste as good and detailed with 300 pages less in the book. My wrists wouldāve appreciated. All in all it a 3/5 for me"
"Read this whole series and I honestly donāt get the hype. Bella is such a flat boring character who spends her time crying on the floor/pining over a man/ignoring said man after she has his kid and Edward is a creep whose only redeeming qualities are his money and the fact heās a vampire š If I could give it zero stars I would. "Finally slogged through all 4 Twilight books. First a word about allegations that the final book was shockingly gory and sexually provocative: this is a series about teenage vampires struggling against bloodlust, as well as the garden variety sexual kind. What's shocking is that the series is so gore and sex _free_. Yes, the leads finally get it on in book 4, but it's all very soft focus and mostly off-screen; no body parts are mentioned and Bella is apparently so overcome with passion that she blacks out, thus depriving us of the salacious details. Nor is the infamous vampire birth sequence anything to rival, say _Rosemary's Baby_.<br/><br/>No, for a story about soul-deprived blood drinkers, the Twilight series is chock full of cozy traditional values: Wait until marriage. Respect your parents. Stick up for your family. A fetus (even a monstrous human vampire hybrid that breaks your ribs from the inside) is a person deserving of protection. Marriage should last an (after) lifetime.<br/><br/>It's not a bad book. Meyer's descriptive abilities are keen; you feel the drizzly beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the heightened senses of a newborn vampire. She also has a knack for developing intriguing characters; the vampire siblings all have fascinating backstories, and melancholy wolf boy Jacob will break your heart. Alas, the 2 protagonists are the least interesting pair in the series and their puerile dialogue "I love you more!" "No, I love YOU more!" would surely drive their immortal friends screaming in search of a stake and some garlic."
"I thought I should read this book just to finish out the series since I had read the others, but I was very disappointed. I felt like it was way too predictable. It felt like the author was trying way to hard to make the ending the way she thought it should be instead of just letting it end. To me it seemed forced."

"I like this book more than I like the first 3 before it. Theyāre all phenomenal, but Breaking Dawn is a highlight of the authenticity of the fantasy all together. š©· "

"For the past year of reading all the books, Iām so glad to have it all together in the end. Iām already so upset that Iāve gotten through it all. This series is one where you have to read the books first then the movies. The books are way better in my opinion. My favorite book ever #teamedward"
"This was a longer book than the other three.....I did enjoy the storyline and it was fun to see Bella change.....I just felt that the book could have been shortened by a 1/3 and still been fine.....Stephanie Meyer has a tendancy to get a bit redundant with her writing....saying the same thing over and over again.....when once or twice would have been sufficient.....overall I did like the book and the struggles that happened and have become a HUGE Edward fan!..."
"I havenāt been read anything this summer so Iām planning on diving into the Court of Roses and Thorns series once I get my hands on it lol (super excited). But the last few I read were The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo which was very interesting and They Both Die at the End which had me in literal tears hahah. What about you? "

"This review is about the whole "Twilight" series, as the books weren't interesting enough to separate.<br/><br/>I read the Twilight series over one weekend out of sheer curiosity. A lot of my "Harry Potter" friends were talking about it and my 13 year old cousin was raving about it. I find the series mildly entertaining, but that's all. Not great writing. My biggest problem with these books are the fact that the two main characters, Bella and Edward, are so annoying. Their love is so melodramatic and co-dependent. Bella is a weak female lead, and her near-suicide when her boyfriend leaves, is a terrible message for pre-teens. Edward is just as obnoxious - violent, jealous, and controlling at times - but teen girls tell me he's "perfect." It makes my skin crawl to think these are the gender and relationship messages being spoonfed to the tweens and they are eating it up. The secondary character of Jacob is slightly better developed, but he is also another male figure that constantly has to rescue Bella from her many idiotic scrapes. Overall, these books play greatly into stereotypical gender roles and glorify relationships that associate sex with violence."

"I cant pick a favorite, but some of the books at the top of my list are, acotar, tog, kotlc, pjo, the infinite noise, the hunger games, and in deeper waters."
".5. Not even a full star. <br/>So, are we going to ignore the fact that Jacob was only āin loveā with Bella because of the unborn child inside of her? Yeah, I donāt think so. That childāfetus, i should sayādidnāt even exist when he first met her. And then he imprints on her baby! jACoB bLaCk iS a PeRvErT aNd DeSeRvEs PRiSoN!<br/>I also kinda really lost any interest I had in this book when Bella had her baby soooo...<br/>"

"A nice conclusion to this series.<br/>Some things were not written as well as they could have been, but I was already expecting that. All in all, I enjoyed this.<br/>The first two thirds of the book don't have much action, but there is a lot of angst and fluff that Meyer ties in together pretty well. The last third of the book does include much more action, and many more characters that I wish Meyer had dove a little deeper into.<br/>Twilight fans will enjoy how this series concludes."
"Thank god this is the last book in the series. For as bad as the first 3 were, this one takes the cake for being absolutely terrible. It totally went of the reservation and made me hate the characters more than I already did, if that was even possible. If Bella would have died, the book would have been much better."

"Wow! <br/><br/>I'm giving this book an A+ for the "I didn't see THAT coming!" factor - maybe I should have, but I enjoyed the surprises and I enjoyed the two day escape into fantasy land. I'm glad it wasn't longer - I wouldn't have gotten any sleep this weekend or anything done today. <br/><br/>It reminded me a tad bit of Anne Rice with a Taltos flavor. I enjoy the characters in these stories, and the "PC" way some things are handled. And since our daughters are reading it, I really approve of the strong positive message about "family" in this time of blended families. <br/><br/>"

"Funny story. I have never been into reading. I couldn't get into the stories. One day my friend recommended me reading this series. She gave me the first book. It sat on my shelf for weeks before I even tried to read it. Once I correct it open I couldn't stop. I read it in one weekend and on Monday told her I needed the second book. Because of the Twilight books I'm actually reading books now. "

"<spoiler>First off...how do vampires have sex without having blood in their bodies? Because...isn't that an important part of sex? And just the thought of Edward having sex talks with Carlisle, Emmett and Jasper? Just makes me laugh so much. Also, the issue of sperm arises. She made it very clear they can't cry tears, but I believe she did mention Bella's mouth watering. Anyway, I figured they didn't have any bodily fluids...But then I remind myself not to try to make sense of all this.<br/><br/>I also figured Jacob & company weren't really "true" werewolves, since they could change at will. Since I'm talking about Jacob, that brings me to imprinting. Okay, so it was a bit weird when Quil imprinted on two-year-old Claire, but Jacob and Renesmee? Yeeeah. Not like I should expect anything less than wtf-worthy from Stephenie Meyer.</spoiler>"
