"Where to I start with this book? Ahh! So much happens in this story where it was hard for me to pass by of what Sloan goes through but I’m glad I finished it. Make sure to read the trigger warnings before. I also really liked that Colleen Hoover used all three main characters point of view, even though I didn’t like Asa but I think it helped knowing how messed up his mind is and all the trauma he went through. Overall good but very dark book. "
"Wow! What a never-ending ending. All the emotions. This book was so good! Page turner. Always love multiple points of view telling a story. Never thought I would end up laughing during this book at a complete psychopath losing his mind with a crucifix. Asa Jackson was a wild ride throughout this novel."
"Take the trigger warnings seriously when it comes to this read. This book is not for readers who have not yet learned to self manage their triggers associated with abuse, sexual assault, murder and drug use.
Holy hell, did this book take me by storm. The content is HEAVY but Colleen tackles it with grace, as always.
**Spoilers**
I would have liked to see a little more on the effect of what that kind of abuse has on a victim though, after the fact. The shuffle of feet behind a closed door even when your long out of that situation. The feeling of not even being safe in your own space, even when you know they are gone. The way your body memorizes trauma and reacts to it until you learn to rewire your reactions. That kind of trauma does not leave one unscathed.
Colleen, we need a sequel!! I’d love to hear from Sloan’s point of view in therapy while raising Dalton. The after affects of trauma endured, from both Sloan and Luke. Or to see falter in the resolve over the paternity. The list can go on.

"Overall good, but not my favorite. I think it was maybe 30-40 pages too long. I did like the dynamic and change of perspectives. "
