Just fyi, as of 9-30-24 the entire first season of Tulsa King is available for free on the Paramount Plus YouTube channel. Season 2 is currently airing new episodes and I think the show is fantastic.

Would someone who has never seen any LOTR movies or Hobbit movies understand the show? Fantasy is not my typical genre but I do love some random shows I loved Fallout, about 4 seasons of Game of Thrones, The 100 just random ones lol I want to check this out but I've honestly never watched a song Lord of the Rings movie, would I be completely confused or is this pretty much separate?

Is this necessary? I mean ok it's a good movie, not a classic and not anything that needs to be remade or anything at least not yet I predict this new show is not going to do well at all lol anyone think this is actually a good idea??

Now that we are empty nesters, my wife and I want to watch a show together. The only tv she ever watches are soaps, SVU and sports. We have wildly different tastes. She’s not into scifi, action, animation or gross out humor, like me. Just finished Anne with an E, which she loved, and are looking for something new. It’s hard to find something I haven’t seen, that I’m interested in and that she’ll also like. Thinking of this one next. So many episodes tho. Thoughts? Recs?

Is season 4 worth the watch?

Some shows just need to RIP idk how I feel about this one... Oh to be a 17 year old boy in 1959 at Welton Academy and be in the class of John Keating, learning of true poetry and sneaking out at night to read, recite and smoke with my friends, completely ignoring the problems of life. Learning to seize the day and suck out all the marrow of life.

This show is gaining a ton of popularity I want to check if out but for the people who have seen this, do you think someone who isn't into sci/Fi or fantasy can get into this. I will watch some stuff if the storyline is good enough like The 100 I liked, but stuff like Expanse or Star Trek or Wars I can't get into, so I'm wondering if you have to be into the fantasy sci Fi world to like this show?
