Topic: Red Rising
Not A Huge Fan Of Sci-Fi and decided to try out Red Rising by Pierce Brown because a lot of people said it was really good. I’m about an hour in and having a hard time. It’s one of those books where you walk into the world and have to “pretend” to know everything about it and as you gradually make progress, you learn more. It’s slow paced and hard to read. Any suggestions on if it’s worth reading? Or if it gets better?

Julz I don’t think it’s slow at all. Maybe a little in the first few chapters but it picks up very quickly in my opinion.

Ashley I honestly didn't love it my first time. It was hard to get into. But the second read I fell in love. The seires is a long one though. It's about war and war last for many years. I highly recommend the audiobook if you stick with it. It is masterfully done. I think the hardship is worth it though. The main character is one of those leaders you would die for and the side characters are just as lovable. It is one of just a few seires were every book is 5 stars in my opinion. There is a lot of camaraderie and many twist and turns.

Amanda Martin It was DNF for me. I got to about the middle and it was too political for me? Dunno maybe that's just my take
