Topic: Books

I just got a new bookshelf and don’t know how to organize my books on it. Please let me know how to organize it. I own mostly fantasy with a bit of romance, dystopian, sci-fi, mystery/thriller, and little bit of general fiction/ literary fiction. You can look at my list called books I own but haven’t read to see some of what I would be putting in the shelf. Picture of the shelf below.

Blu_berryMuff°n By genre, then the author's last name. Or just the author's last name

Glowbunny My library is purposefully haphazard. I do have mostly paperbacks on one bookshelf and mostly hardcover on others. There is also a little bit of accessibility taken into account (little used books higher and harder to reach - next up on my reading list and/or often reread favorites in on middle easily reached shelves). Other than that, I've been known to place a book in a space on the shelf because I wanted more of that color right there. It would drive many people batty, but it works for me.

Misty Mountain Arts I generally organize by vibe which is weird but it’s what works for me. So I will have shelves with certain themed knickknacks on there and then add the books that fit that vibe or genre onto that shelf.

Julz Nice they look cool. I don’t have enough room for knickknacks though. I have way too many books.
