"This is my favorite Elm Street out of all the Elm Streets! I mean the message of the movie is you can beat anything with the power of friendship and that’s just beautiful. Not to mention this one has some of my favorite kills and is very Quotable, and it touches on how we view troubled youth and the hardship they have and adults would rather not even deal with them. If you had to watch one Elm Street this would be it for me."
"Out of the first three movies, this is the best one so far. That “puppet” scene is horrifying though. Normally the Freddy movies are not scary, but that one part really set off my mirror touch. I was in so much pain. So way to go makeup/special effects departments. I don’t think I’ve seen any of the others. I’m curious to see if they go up or downhill from here. 3 down, 5 of the original and 3 new ones to maybe go through still. What one of these is your favourite? And, out of Jason, Freddy, Michael, etc whose movies do you like more? "
"Day 26 #Spooktober I can’t believe this came out in 1987. For some reason I’ve always thought Nightmare on Elm street was early 90’s slasher. But his first 5 films all came out in the 80’s. This is when sequels came out a sometimes a year apart which is crazy when you compare it to today’s standard. Idk how old I was when I watched this but I still remember how scary it was as a child. Now I find myself laughing at a lot of things. It reminds me how I use to be so scared meanwhile my brother who is a teenager at the time is laughing. This was much better than the last one. The way it’s a team of kids trying to battle him kinda reminds me of stranger things alot. It’s no way you can watch Stranger Things season 4 and not see the connection. Wes Craven is still one of my alltime favorite horror directors. It’s been decades since I’ve seen this one and it’s still one of my favorites in the series."
