"I wasn't expecting to get so much of a kick out of the rom com part of this slasher, but this was a lot of fun and the sense of humor mostly worked for me. Plus, Heart Eyes gets bonus points for featuring His Girl Friday which is one of my all time favorites."

" On Valentines Day over the past several years a killer has targeted couples murdered them. The movie opens with one such situation. A woman is out on a business dinner with a man when she see’s her ex. She does something to make him jealous and they end up in the cross hairs of the killer even though they are not really a couple. This one surprised me with the story. This is equal parts romantic comedy and horror. In fact if you removed the horror element and just played it straight this would be one of the better rom coms. They had pretty good chemistry and the set up for their romance organic and rang true. There was also a pretty good amount of gore and a couple of unique kills. The twist for me left a lot to be desired and where this one goes off the rails a bit. On the one hand it was exactly what I thought it was and then it wasn’t. Without spoiling anything it felt like they were going for a Scream type thing that didn’t land at all. Then the 3rd act was put at odds with what we just saw and felt like it belonged on another movie. I still enjoyed it and a must see for fans of the genre. Every one else will not enjoy it as much. It is most definitely a slasher movie, so if you do not enjoy blood and gore, then this movie will not be enjoyable for you at all. The dialog is cheesy, but in all the best ways. If you are a slasher fan and love horror comedies, then this will definitely be worth a watch!!! I had fun watching this movie!!! Make sure to watch the credits for a surprise!!! 😍"

"This is such a great movie. I never would have thought that the Horror genre would mix so well with Romantic Comedy. The serial killer is effortless and soooo violent. This is one of the first horror movies that actually catered towards the female demographic. I could feel the female targeted fanservice from a mile away. Everyone loves a hot antagonist in a mask. What a great movie, and a great experience!"
