"I'm a fan of the original Catfish movie and series so this documentary caught my eye, and I have to say this one is way more severe in just about every way. This woman in England gets swept up in an online relationship and endures lies upon lies for almost 9 years. I'm sorry but at some point you need to question why you haven't met in person instead of being delusional. I actually give this woman props for telling her story because the depth of her gullibility is astronomical so it must be hugely embarrassing. I won't say who her Catfish actually is, but this person must have had a vendetta against her to keep the ruse going for so long, and no good reason was given. Unbelievable but an interesting watch. 7/10"

"This was okay. Not as sensational as Netflix made it out to be. Could have honestly just been an episode of Catfish. It is pretty sad and crazy though that her cousin would do this to her own family for 9 years. SMH. 😔"

"I'm giving this 4 stars because it held my attention. The catfisher was diabolical and horrible and I suspected them early on in the story. However, this lady had decided to be with someone, anyone no matter what and had a history of staying too long even in real relationships. She needed a lot of self work and to learn self worth. That said there's a special place in Hades for catfisher because this one story had several victims."

"It's not hard to believe that there are so many repulsive people in the world, but it is disturbing. In this age of the internet, perps have found a whole new way to hurt and take advantage of people, oftentimes just because they enjoy it. Based on who the catfish was, this case takes it to a whole nother level. As much as I enjoy and rely on the internet, I truly believe it signified the beginning of the end. Evil has found a quick and easy avenue to spread itself. I'm not a religious person but I am spiritual and my gut has told me for years that I need to stay far, far away from certain aspects of the internet, for the sake of my spirit. This short documentary only solidified that."

"It’s good. A gripping story in the unbelievable but truce category, it’s as much about gullibility as it is about deception. You can’t help thinking she should have known or discovered the deceit much, much earlier but love is blind, right? So while you may find the story frustrating or even anger-making it’s a show that drags you in and keeps you there to the bitter end. The motive for the hoax is never truly explained though .. one can’t help thinking there’s more to this than a prank . Recommended nevertheless. "

"This was quite the story ! Unbelievable things happened and kept piling on top of each other and it kept happening for 9 whole years. Delusional to say the least, was a great watch nevertheless "
