"John Carpenter’s first film. It’s like Clerks in space, made up of vignettes of these miserable bastards who want to be anywhere but on the ship they’re stuck on. It also somehow contains a pretty good Alien parody, which wouldn’t be remarkable except this film came out 5 years before Alien (the writer of Alien also wrote this film, which may explain it)."
