"After being on my watchlist for years, I finally decided to check this one off the list… and boy do I wish I had more good things to say about it.
The story meanders and jumps from random plot point to random plot point with no rhyme or reason. The movie was trying to comment on some deep ideas about beliefs and what sorts of things can make us question and change our beliefs. The main character (who is quite unlikable) is constantly debating with people about science vs. God, but the writing is so heavy handed and cheesy that I couldn’t take any of the ideas seriously.
It was trying to touch on so many different themes, but it wasn’t able to thoughtfully explore any of them in any meaningful way.
The one thing I will compliment in the cinematography. Mike Cahill certainly has a unique and visual style and there were multiple shots that were innovative and impressive. Most notably, the beautiful dolly zoom shot when the main character steps off the bus and sees the eyes on the billboard."
"This movie deals with the universe, twin flames 💕knowing people from another lifetime, and *SPOILER* …………reincarnation, the whole premise of this movie is right up my alley 😍💕but shortly after a main part, it gets boring. Overall it gets you thinking though, and would love to find more movies like this 😍💕"
"Such a unique movie that passed under the radar!!! Wish more people discovered this one"
