"This 70s adventure flick, based on the popular action hero of 1930s and 40s pulp fiction, is a whole lot of fun. There isn't a trace of cynicism or sarcasm in this film, and no antiheroes to be found. This is not a parody, or even a kitschy homage. Its corny wholesomeness is refreshingly authentic. It perfectly captures the adorable ridiculousness of pulp fiction, but instead of making fun of it, it celebrates it. Deeply offended that this didn't become a franchise with at least five movies."
