I probably only watched it because of Jim Carrey and it was definitely great to see him being quintessential Jim Carrey again. But the movie was funny, sincere and heartfelt. Kids, adults and all ages will love it!"

"I tired to be a contrarian when watching this movie but I really liked this movie. The reason why was due to Robotnik and Sonic being foils of each other. Sonic is a young kid that yearns for a family so much that he causes the conflict of the story with an “oops.” Robotnik on the other hand hates humans with the exception of his fellow servant. He all but stated that he wish he could replace everyone with Robots because they follow their programming and their is no variables involved. The humans in the story give him what he wanted, even his shoes 😂, and push him to become the hero he was meant to be. Yes I miss how Sonic was characterized in the Dreamcast era but this was a great way to put him on the screen. "

"I want to give it a 4 but it’s definitely more of a 3. I don’t know why I haven’t watched this especially from the design change a while back. I have been a somewhat sonic fan. Mainly just when I was younger watched a lot of YouTube videos of him. The new game well don’t know specifics content wise. But because of that game been wanting to get back into sonic. But give more of a try. Especially the games good thing their is a couple free on the AppStore. Had sonic unleashed but didn’t play much console gaming so didn’t ever play it. And some ds game but don’t remember playing it. Anyways the actual review time It is very much a kids movie. But I actually had a lot of fun with it. Their were some jokes that were very much kid oriented. But a lot of them I actually genuinely laughed at. Mainly because of ben swartz. Honestly at first I hated the sound of his voice.(still do). But he does a really good job voicing sonic. He is good at making quips and being overall energetic. You really do need that for sonic especially in a movie. Jim carry obviously did amazing as egg man and brought way more charm to the movie. He also genuinely felt refreshing with his dialogue as a villain. Not really like an evil Villian just over the top. Plus a lot of jokes were performed very well and felt different from what I’m used to in comedy and action movies. I think I just have a soft spot for jim. Because dumb and dumber 2 was a part of my childhood. The action scenes with sonics speed were cool. Wish their was more. But they were fun to see I hope to see more variety in the sequel though. My favorite scene was him turning into a ball. Mainly that was my favorite part when playing any sonic game. Honestly the back and forth with tom and sonic was my favorite part. I don’t know why. Cool character. why did sonic barely run to save the owl character(forgot name). Didn’t like the rings being portals. Lots of overused movie tropes. Lastly so much more fun than mario movie."

"Talk about a glow-up! This is the Sonic the Hedgehog movie we’ve been wanting to see since Sonic X was a thing, and damn if they didn’t deliver! Is it a perfect movie overall? Hardly, it’s got its speed bumps but nothing that ruins it. Is it a perfect Sonic movie? I can’t say it has EVERYTHING, but for an origin story it’s a solid entry. Jim Carrey feels like he could’ve easily been a miscast but he’s probably the most fun he’s been in years. It’s a great time all around. "
