"So I fully believe one should consume 'bad' content. So we can entertain bad ideas, agree on why they are wrong and how they came to exist, and never do it again. Whether it be Mein Kampf, the Communist Mannifesto, the Anti-Tech Revolution, or the focus of my ire today, Cuties. Cuties is a movie touted for it's message of anti child exploitation. However in trying to explain that to the audience, they exploit children at every opportunity. It is despicable how often perverted close ups on scantily clad children are the focus of a shot. Not to mention the scene where an underage girl takes a picture of herself bottomless and posts it on the internet. Although I don't think the message of 'Don't exploit children or let children exploit themselves' is bad, the movie is. As an example, everyone knows murder is bad but you don't need to kill and film an actual person to get that point across. I personally can't wait for these kids to turn 18 and sue the everliving christ out of the many people who not only made Cuties possible, but defended it. If you want to consume controvertial media that handles this topic better, go read Lolita. Don't watch this movie. "
