"This movie is pretty depressing as we follow a rookie paramedic played by Tye Sheridan paired with his grizzled veteran partner played by Sean Penn as they go from one traumatic scenario to the next while answering calls in NYC. The cinematic style is grim and unflinching as they encounter all sorts of people from all walks of life and we witness the toll it takes on the emergency workers. Some scenes can be tough to watch and might be upsetting for some. 7.5/10"

I would have rated it higher, but I felt like some scenes in the movie dragged out way longer than what was needed to prove the point. I bet that the book this movie is based on is a million times better than the film - but the film I assume captured the essence of the book. "
