"I didn't expect to like this movie. It's one of my favorite modern movies. Beautiful story, animation, and music. The wonderful trifecta of a good musical. "

"Take Summer Wars (and Technically Our War Game.), add the unnecessary aspect of beauty and the beast, and you get Belle. So Satoko Okudera was the writer for Wolf Children and Summer Wars, two of the Mamoru Hosoda’s films I loved but this one he wrote and directed and it’s obvious he’s the weaker writer. Takes queues from Summer Wars (the internet and all of its positives/negatives) and Wolf Children ( motherly love) but doesn’t go beyond them and the Beauty and the Beast aspect adds nothing expect a reason for Belle getting Doxxed at the end. If you like the music you’ll might like it but beyond that it’s a step backwards from Summer War’s and Wolf Children. "
