"A Christmas fav. I love the new unique look of all the holiday mascots and new personality I never thought I’ve ever seen them dawn these are some of my favorite pretrials of them. Jack Frost is a fun addition to the mix and one I wouldn’t of really thought about but it works and his backstory is so heartbreaking! It’s an eye catching and fun movie that I think the littlest kids to fully grown adults will enjoy! It’s a very lovable movie. "
"Let me start by stating how much I appreciate this movie. The story and animation are, of course, phenomenal, true dreamworks quality.
I thought the combination of the Guardians, was well thought out. Everyone of them felt both mystical and grounded. It was so cool seeing the way things work and how their magic fits into the world. I love the world-building here basically.
However, it is the villain I get chills for. He's intimidating, clever, charismatic, intriguing, charming, fun, and just darn right evil. I adore it. He even has some heart in his actions that you don't see right away. Plus, the way he delivers his lines!! Whooo!! I love it! Anytime I think about this movie, I fall deeper in love with Pitch. Every single line of his lives rent-free in my brain 24/7. I also can't get enough of the way he's animated.
Every character in this entire movie was just animated perfectly to match their personality. North is stoic yet hearty in his movements. You see the wonder. Bunny seems to be moving faster and have more oomph to his actions. Yet he can be so calm and reserved in calm moments. Tooth also moves fast yet remains graceful. She enchants the viewers with her flying. Sandy is just hilarious and so well done. Love his expressions.
Then Jack. Everything about him screams cool and fun. He's realistic yet still entertaining. He is the heart of the story and it works.
I truly wish for a sequel. Not just because Dreamworks can make a sequel, but also due to the fact this story could expand in so many interesting ways.
But the story is good on its own. I will admit though, the biggest reason I watch this movie is for Pitch the villain. He is by far my favorite villain ever and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Still. Your kids will enjoy this movie, you might just too. After all, what's a good story without a real antagonist to progress it somehow?"
"I loved this movie as a kid. Still really good as an adult. Great storytelling that’s so moving and always makes me cry. "
