The character relationships were forced and lacking. The plot seemed super rushed even though it’s a staggering 2 hours (for that time). I wouldn’t recommend this. "

"After watching the originals this loses the whimsical sci-fi that the first one had. This has more of a space technology sci-fi vibe that a lot of 2000s films had at the time which isn’t baaad but also the vibes of the first one were so great! Like if Tim Burton made this with the same vibe as Mars Attacks it would’ve been next level yk I like the backstory in this since the beginning did feel more well rounded, but after all of the humans could talk I feel like the entire point of it was lost. Why did they never talk to the apes and why did they listen to Mark?🫠 The makeup in this is amazing! I still couldn’t recognize Helena Carter throughout this EVEN after knowing it was her🫢"
