"A great film based of a book of the same name that started a franchise of films that have been rebooted twice and a television series!"

"Interesting concept, it really makes you think. It took a little bit to get going in the beginning, but this was great! I feel like this is a film you can pull apart if you like film and all the symbolism within it. "

"Planet of the Apes is an apex film. It has everything I could ask for in a sci-fi movie. It starts with a thrilling hook. Then the following segment asks some of the “ultimate questions” addressed in science fiction, and sets up a creepy and ominous “where ARE we!?”. That quickly pays off in an action scene that gives us our first reveal: APE PEOPLE! The main story is part totalitarian dystopia and part character drama. Then it notches up ANOTHER level to an action escape and yet another huge reveal: talking doll! Following some more intrigue with the forces of oppression we get, of course, perhaps the most iconic and impactful reveal of any film to end this movie with Charlton Heston on his knees, all his questions answered."
