"Looking forward to this adaptation, as I absolutely loved the book that this story is based on — and the other movie adaptation was very enjoyable — But Tom Hanks as the curmudgeonly protagonist here, I definitely gotta see… I hope it’ll be good; everything he does is usually always great. (Release date: 12/25/22)"
" 4.5⭐️ This movie lives up to the book. If you loved this version the Swedish film is also excellent..the same but different. I’m unabashedly a fan of anything that makes me feel something profound and Ove (Otto) in all his forms brings out all the emotions. He reminds us that aging is a courageous act. Letting go is the hardest thing of all. "

"It's almost hard to believe that Tom Hanks started out as a comedic actor in the TV show Bosom Buddies and movies like Bachelor Party and Splash, when he has honed his skills as a serious dramatic actor in so many great roles over his career. Add one more to the list. Hanks does a fabulous job in the role of Otto, the grumpy old man who has given up on living. The movie is definitely heart-warming and sad at the same time, and Tom Hanks is surrounded by a great, and interesting cast of characters who all do a wonderful job in their supporting roles. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. 9/10"
"First, I didn’t see the original and know nothing about it. Now, there’s a long lineage of movies like this. Forest Gump, Crash, etc). And like this one, they unapologetically pull every heartstring up, down and sideways. I’ve seen a lot of criticism for these movies, with numerous different reasons about why they’re bad. Screw em. I like movies for escapism and fun. I laughed and cried through the entire thing. If I’m a sentimental sap, I’ll wear it proudly. "

"I loved this movie, it was so sweet and funny! Tom Hanks was great as always, but Mariana Treviño stole the show for me, she had me laughing with every line. There is a TW at the begining as the movie does have scenes of attempting suicide, so keep that in mind before watching. Other than that I do recommend! Though I must also admit that I haven't read the book so I can't yet offer any insight there."
"9/10 I just saw it in theatres and I loved it. WARNING: suicide is a very present theme in this movie, right off the bat. This was a pitch black comedy and a very heartwarming story. I laughed. I cried. I cried some more, along with everyone else in the theatre. I don’t think there was a dry eye there. This is a very well made film that you should see. Tom Hanks knocks it out of the park with this one. All the supporting actors are very fun too."
