"Well we know if Tom Hanks is in it, it’ll be genuine, moving and touching in so many ways and that was exactly it. One family room, one house and multiple intertwined stories focusing on main characters though - going through all the stages of life. I admired the set, the different furniture that changes from every decade. Beautiful idea, creative but yes sad. Well, life moves on until the next family purchases the home. "

"Honestly, Here is a solid slice of life movie that worked pretty well for me. At times, it's kind of depressing and the ending is a bit of a downer which I probably could have done without today and I wish we got to know more of the other characters. Leo and Stella were such a breath of fresh air compared to our central leads and I wish we got to spend more time with them. It was cool to see Michelle Dockery - I had no idea she was going to be in this - in the 1910s set scenes as well. My favorite aspect was easily Alan Silvestri's score. I may have to read the graphic novel this is based on and see how it compares."
"Super cool and a great idea!! One house one living room you get to see different families that had lived there through the centuries. All the happy, sad, hard times deaths, cultural events that have happened and how it affected all the different families. Now I will say the first 15 minutes is a little slow because it’s setting you up to understand how the movie is going to work. But with that said it’s a beautiful story that you don’t want to miss. ✌️"
"I am giving this film 1 star solely based on the trailer. I get it, it's a nice idea. I am sure it's a tear jerker. Two actors I like and admire. I am positive someone will get an Oscar for this. But I just can't. I don't want to watch it. It seems so grossly out of touch with what many young people are experiencing in terms of wage stagnation and real estate prices that it just feels like a boomer fever dream. Many young people would like to have a family and a house and a yard and a love story. Which is more fantasy now than ever. Plus a few more demerits for de-aging which I find tiresome and taking away opportunities from young actors. It's just not my demo I guess. "
