"This one kinda went over my head. It felt like a film critics would love but audiences wouldn't. I remember watching it with 7 members of my family, we all felt underwhelmed, we wanted to like it because of the premise but it just wasnt our cup of tea."

"I read a few other reviews and it looks like it’s very mixed. Some like it, others don’t. For me, I liked how the cinematography was shot, it was a little reminiscent of the way Wes Anderson likes to film his movies by keeping the camera still in one place. They did a few scenes like that but for the most part, it would move with the character. I liked how they show the layout of the house too, it was a little easier to visualize. There wasn’t meant to be a big story plot but just show a “day in the life” of a person who works as a nanny in a regular Mexican household, almost like a documentary. It’s not meant to go fast because you can’t hurry life up or know what’s going to happen next, and that’s what it seems they were trying to demonstrate with the film. I felt bad for Cleo and the mother, how she was going through marital problems and Cleo just had experienced a terrible relationship with a horrible man."

"This is one of those films where you really have to be patient with it. I feel like this was beautifully shot, but it paid more attention to that more than the drama and the dialogue. However, when it did focus more on the drama is where it got very interesting and even very emotional. Acting and storytelling was amazing to the point where I cared a lot about the characters and what was happening with them, but the pace could have been picked up a lot."

"This film is a masterpiece. Alfonso Cuaron is always a director I will never miss. Everything about this film is beautiful as it is real. In fact, this should've won the Oscar for best picture than Green Book. Other than that, I could not recommend this more."
