"Definitely better than part I! Non stop thriller right from the beginning till end. I learnt about a new saint I’ve never heard of before. What gorgeous scenery of parts of France, old buildings, churches - breathtaking. Great story too and ending even better, focus on the last second. 1 star off because similar to Nun part I, the makeup on the Nun does not look that great. It looks fake and I wished they used a different look perhaps a bit more human looking devil than a monster. Definitely worth watching. Oh and I can’t look at goats the same way again ;) enjoy!!"

"I liked this one a lot the only major issue I had is your telling me the freaking blood of Jesus christ didn't work in the first movie? Also the suggested relationships were a little bit confusing is it because she's a nun she has to stay virginal and can't act out her desires because it was definitely more then platonic in that first film. I am definitely on the weird side here because I thought the first one was better on those two small details. Although, this one was better with the scares and the background shots were terrifying as well."
"If you just read my review of The Nun, you will know that my daughter and I watched both movies back-to-back over the last two nights. I recommend reading that review for a little more insight into this movie and how it compared to the first one.
This movie takes place four years after the last one, which kind of leaves me with the feeling of plot holes since four years is a long time for someone to be possessed and not know it.
I was happy to see two of the main cast members from the first movie. Vera Farmiga's (from the main Conjuring movies) much younger sister, Taissa plays the nun protagonist of both movies. I have only seen her in seasons of American Horror Story so these movies were a nice change. I also loved the character, Frenchie played by the adorable Jonas Bloquet. I have since learned he is in the short-lived but much loved show 1899, which has been in my queue for a long time now. I might need to watch it soon now. Frenchie/Maurice was very well cast!
As I mentioned above, my review of The Nun has a lot written in it about this movie which I'm not going to repeat. Feel free to check that review out. One thing I will repeat though, is that I did like this movie a tad more than the first one. I think it was a little faster paced, perhaps. The moodiness of the gothic abbey was definitely missed but it felt like more happened in this movie. Regardless, both movies are wonderful to watch during this spooky month of October. I recommend them both equally but they are best watched one right after the other. Enjoy!"
"This sequel is just better. Now, this kept my attention (not sure if it was because I saw this in theaters and watched the first at home).
Sister Irene had her work cut out for her!
Two things: I appreciated the Easter egg in the first, hinting at Maurice’s future. Additionally, as a former Catholic, I recognized the accuracy of the information included in the film. The prayers, traditions, and correct Saint references. At least they did their research!
Although I watched these two out of order, I can confidently say the second was better than the first. I still believe that Taissa is all around better than this and I certainly know Storm is a stronger actress than what she showed here. BUT! Watch this for a (fun) scare at the start of spooky season! "I enjoyed the first one and also enjoyed this one. I was happy to see familiar cast members in this film. Everyone did amazing!! I am extremely proud of Storm Reid and hope that she keeps up the amazing work. Great graphics and I am anticipating a part 3. The 2 nun movie has a better complex story. "
