Henry’s done it again! The characters and their journeys are so genuine and relatable. You will find someone- some struggle- that you understand and feel. Not to mention Charlie is the perfect book boyfriend. ❤️ 🔥You see so many opposites attract stories, it was fun to see one where the similarities are what pull them together. It’s a refreshingly different dynamic.

Such a fun series! It’s got humor, heart, wit, adventure, and a sweet slow burn romance to keep you turning the pages.

Ruta always paints such a vivid picture of history! This book will transport you to post Civil War Spain and suck you into the struggles and secrets of the people living there there. I loved following these characters as they confront the devastating consequences of war and the reality of living under a dictatorship.

There are definitely some slower parts and very, very detailed depictions of nature, which isn’t really my thing. BUT if you can get passed the first 100 pages or so, you get really into it! It’s truly a beautifully written coming of age story with romance and mystery elements intertwined.

I felt so many feelings reading this dark and twisted book. Rio did a fantastic job writing deeply flawed characters whose actions and motivations left you stunned and often times frustrated. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of dark academia, mysteries, or true crime type of stories. 💯👏🏻

I definitely got sucked into this story! It had a fantastic female protagonist, a daring quest, and an enchanting enemies to lovers romance.

This is the perfect comfort show! Beautiful scenery, witty and fun characters, and engaging stories.

There was a lot about this book that I found enjoyable, but the best part by far was the protagonist! Josie was easy to empathize with and relate to. You can’t help but get sucked into her gritty world of death, deadbeat mothers, dangerous mobsters, and prostitutes. Josie proves that despite where you come from, there is power behind chasing your dreams and shaping your own future. Truly beautiful read!
