Decent if not predictable thriller. Quick read, slight Agatha Christie vibes

For a book that's told in an almost surrealistic manner or as an allegory, this is the most accurate portrayal of motherhood I've ever read. It's dark, eerie and beautiful. This won't be for everyone, but for those it is it will hit hard #

A look at what really happens inside of 'perfect wealthy communities' and the darkness underneath. I enjoyed the first 3/4 the end was predictable and wrapped up too fast. A decent quick read

It's alright. The island is cute and charming nothing real high stakes happens. Feels like reading a Hallmark movie.

I genuinely don't know what I just read. It's weird. SUPER WEIRD. Almost nothing is clear or makes sense in entirety. But I'm also not mad about that. #magical_realism #absurdist #mongoose
