"I have conflicting feelings about this show. On one hand, I love that it didn’t adhere to the usual action/military/rescue tropes we tend to see, not to mention it’s beautifully shot. But on the other hand, it become increasingly difficult to watch so many innocent Colombian and Venezuelan citizens get killed all to save one “innocent” American (she was a CIA agent so they weren’t wrong in their assumptions). The show seems like it wants you to get on board with our main characters actions, but then they also make it clear how much turmoil the United States has caused throughout history, not just in Central and South America, but all over the world. So watching United States essentially work to do much of the same got under my skin a bit. I’m honestly split on 50/50 on this show."
