"Although I was tempted to give this new Batman animated series three stars, I thought it deserved four stars because of the smooth reboot. The city of Gotham is still dark and brooding, but still has a bit of life left to it. I am very impressed at the voice acting, which in most other DC Batman animated adventures have been very consistent in skill. I was impressed at Dietrich Bader who usually is known for his comedic roles, playing the role of Harvey Dent. Hamish Linklater took over as Batman/Bruce Wayne and does pretty well, but I believe that if there is a next season, he will feel more comfortable voicing a role that became iconic because of Kevin Conroy. The 10 episode season has a fair story arc, but mostly reintroduced us to the characters of the comic and movies: Penguin, Harvey Dent/Two-Face, and The Gordon Family, cops, and lawyers. "
"Some of the changes are a bit jarring, but all superficial; easy to get used to. What makes a Batman project Batman is the tone… and the 50s aesthetic. This show accomplished this. It’s the closest version to the Animated Series, which makes sense with Bruce Timm attached. Also, I love what Matt Reeves is doing with the franchise. Enjoyable. "
"Good show hoping for a season 2!"

"A little different but truly a Batman show. Animation is delectable. It feels like a proper noir."
