I know some of it was a bit of fiction but other parts I had to look up and did not know Andrew Johnson was such a jerk! The middle episodes dragged a tiny bit but well worth the watch!"

Well made story and a fascinating watch led by a truly inspiring performance by Tobias Menzies as Lincoln’s Secretary of War, Edwin Stanton. Loved watching the heroic courage that many of the freed slaves showed in the capture of Booth, too, especially the story of Mary Simms. It was definitely a slow burn. However, for anyone interested in history, I think, will see parallels on how our past is intersecting with our present."
