"For the 1980's time period, yes. This was definitely the best crime show. It was flashy, and at times cheesy, but it music driven and also fun. The show in its own way, did tackle some issues like police corruption, sexual assault, and drug addiction. I stand by it, but I know not everyone feels that way, especially if they didn't grow up in the 1980's."

"My husband and I did a full rewatch. It was me of those shows I wanted to watch when i was a kid but it came on late and way beyond my maturity level. So, they rewatch taught me a lot. Miami Vice cops just straight murdered people in the streets!!! Haha very ahead of it’s time In some aspects. Dealt with hot topics of the day like AIDS, drug and gambling addiction. But when it came to women not so much. The female vice cops only dealt with prostitution. But it’s heavy in the 80s culture and a fun time. Lots of actors show up before they were stars. "
