"This 10 episode situation comedy isn't groundbreaking but it is humorous enough to grab and hold my attention for its entirety. Kate Hudson is lovable as a former party girl that has to step in for her brother to run the family's pro basketball team, when he checks himself into rehab. At first, she's unsure of herself but proves time and again that she knows her stuff, in spite of her awkward tendencies. She is surrounded by a likeable cast and each episode is about a half an hour which makes it an easy binge watch. It's not laugh out loud funny but it is enjoyable. 7.5/10"

"Really great show. Funny, lots of heart. Mindy Kaling produced, and Kate Hudson! Also, based loosely on true story."

"Intriguing story that manages to hook you with a cliffhanger or big revelation at the end of each episode. It won't stick in your mind, but you will want to finish it.
First off, it has all the cliches of a typical Netflix original. Leaning hard into an R rating the first few episodes, then slowly losing the excessive cuss words as it continues. It will still cuss, but not as much as the first episode shows. Plus, it can't be a Netflix original without some sex scenes littering about. Which come at a surprise & are never actually central to the story. They just provide some humor or disgusting stuff that Netflix is just obsessed with lately.
Now, here's the kicker. Obviously, it's a women empowerment storyline. Yet it's actually done well. . .shocker. The point is, she recognizes her hardships and pushes through them. They don't dwell on it and say it sucks, they power through and make the parts that make them different a strength. Instead of putting the blame on others. It was honestly refreshing. I also loved the attention to detail in the way that doing the right thing and actually trying (which so many main characters fail to do & makes them less likeable) doesn't always equate to happy times. I won't spoil the moments, but doing something you know in your heart to be the right choice, will not always work out. This series showcases that. Not always, but when it does, it works. It comes as a shock to the viewer & characters.
Overall, the characters are likable & actually feel realistic in a way I haven't really felt before. Sure, they lean into their obscurity at times, but they grow as real people do. Not drastically but subtly, & they do what that person would do in those moments. Seeing them act in the 1st episode compared to the finale, you see they learn but don't completely change; which is not only refreshing, but great to watch as a real human being. Good show that I will be looking forward to season 2. I won't drop everything, but I will watch it."

"Fun, entertaining but I did find myself losing interest at times. There’s so funny parts. Kate Hudson and rest of the cast is great. Didn’t feel me in like I had hoped it would but it’s a decent series to watch. If I was into basketball more, I’d prob enjoy it better probably. "

"Very mixed feelings about it. I honestly only watched it because there is NOTHING else on Netflix, but by the end of the season my curiosity was piqued. If a second season comes out soon I'd probably watch it but otherwise will probably drop it because it's a forgettable but entertaining(sometimes) watch"
