Band of Brothers
War & Politics
Drawn from interviews with survivors of Easy Company, as well as their journals and letters, Band of Brothers chronicles the experiences of these men from paratrooper training in Georgia through the end of the war. As an elite rifle company parachuting into Normandy early on D-Day morning, participants in the Battle of the Bulge, and witness to the horrors of war, the men of Easy knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear - and became the stuff of legend. Based on Stephen E. Ambrose's acclaimed book of the same name.

"A remarkable achievement in long form film storytelling. I have a profound admiration for the real life characters and their real life sacrifices and bravery. They were but one piece in the larger effort, but every piece is essential, and I’m glad I got to know their story. Hats off to Tom Hanks for bringing the resources at his disposal to give these types of stories the care and value they deserve."
"This was a great show"
"This is one of those mini-series that'd stay with you long after you've finished all of its episodes. It's amazing how the creators managed to encompass the developments of each character in 10 episodes. In a nutshell, this is the best WW2 mini-series I've ever seen. The fact this HBO series premiered in 2001 and it’s still one of the greatest war shows ever created till this day. "
"A fantastic series. Goes way deeper into a soldier’s world, both in terms of the psychological and physical scars left by battle as well as the camaraderie that forms between them. Can see why this is so highly acclaimed. Acting, writing, directing etc. are top notch across the board. Recommend to all."
