At the end of her first year of high school, Futaba Yoshioka suddenly has a chance encounter with her first love, Kou Tanaka. Three years ago, he transferred schools before she was able to say how she felt about him. After meeting each other again, Futaba realizes that he has gone through many changes. He acts more cool and even had his last name changed to Mabuchi. Gradually the two rekindle their love while piecing together what had happened in the time that they were apart.

"This is a complicated favorite for me. While I loved it this anime is unfinished in terms of story. The main couple were childhood friends who liked one other but something happens and the male lead moves away. They met back up in high school but they have both changed. The anime is a great introduction. Basically she wants the boy she remembers and basically she becomes a better version of herself. He is still hurting and you see him “start to thaw” but his full development is not seen. You will have to read the manga. This is an anime where we could have used an additional season or two. Regardless still one of my favorites! 5 stars! "

"It was pretty cute and had some very realistically emotional moments. Unlike some animes where drama is created just for the sake of drama, the characters all felt like they had good motive and real reasons for being the way that they were and showed that they're flaws came from a good place."
