Just watching her is pure pleasure. I really liked the attempt of portrayal of life of the 19 century as it was: dirty and cruel, no fairytale of the beautiful past there. Very good show overall, although I thought the first season was more interesting than the second. "

Dakota Fanning intrigues as the first female hire on the NYC police force, and the history of psychology in the 20th Century compels. I love period pieces. I often return to some shows to give them a second chance, and I see myself doing that with The Alienist. "
