"I went into this blindly, not knowing that this is a #coming_of_age #drama #series based upon a #YA book. It’s thoughtfully written, & has some witty dialogue & relatable characters. HOWEVER, I would wager that this is NOT gonna be at the TOP of EVERYone’s “Must See” List — only because you gotta be in the right headspace for a #deep & #pensive watch, plus the drama is at times quite #melancholy 😔 (but sometimes we need that). The TONE of this miniseries felt like a ’THIS IS US’ for the #young_adult #mature_teen set. So if dramas that are slow & deliberate & which deal with #relationships and #emotions really are NOT your favorite, this may not be for you — OR if you prefer fast-paced & slick or soapy dramas about #teens, you won’t find that here.🌟B+🌟 #well_written ~ #Witty_Dialog ~ #TeenAngst #Love #Death #tragedy #grief #TheBondsOfFriendship"
"Hey guys. This show has came up a few times in different threads and I just wanted to make a post it because I think it deserves some discussion. This limited series, streaming on hulu, is based on the first ever book by best selling author John Green. This show is such a great example of how to do an adaptation. First, look to the character of the eagle. In the book he is a very strong character but he is largely static. The show dies a great job of humanizing him, giving him an arc, and making him dynamic. In addition, the acting in this show is so on point. Ultimately this is one of my favorite teen shows of all time. What did you think of this show? Have you read the book? **MAKE SURE TO NOTE SPOILERS BEFORE YOU COMMENT THEM**"
