"What an ending to the series. This book is extremely dark in comparison to the others, but thematically, it works. The tone is consistent with a story about rebellion, war, torture, and trauma. I found it hauntingly interesting, couldn't keep my eyes off of it, and the authors' increased use of complex metaphors was really brutal but wonderful to me. I will say that some scenes felt really long or really rushed- but I think that the author does this on purpose, to exemplify how time feels to Katniss, as she did with her other books. Overall, really touching, filled to the brim with "oh my god" moments, this book is a painfully, enjoyably, hauntingly good ride. Note: be prepared for less Peeta, less action in the books 1st half, and a speedy but shocking and satisfactory ending."
"Great book and movies. "
