"This is a terrific read. With this book, #andy_weir, author of #the_martian has clearly established himself as one of the best #hard_science_fiction authors out there. If you like the genre, stop what you are doing and read this book. And if you like audio books, this is one to listen to. The narrator is great and really helps immerse you in the protagonist. One way or the other, this is a #must_read for anyone who enjoys science fiction, or just science in general"
"I listened to this audiobook because I heard it is amazing and it certainly was! I am not usually a science fiction reader and have a hard time understanding things, especially space but this was written so well, and in a way I could follow and understand. I felt along with the main character, and loved the side character as well! Highly recommend!!"
"Such a great novel. The switching between memory and reality was done very smoothly and added context and depth to the plot, as well as keeping it interesting to only have 2 main characters. The twists were very twisty and surprising in a believable way, and the ending was perfect. I think this is a great Andy Weir novel to try if you like the plot and writing style, but would prefer less scientific descriptions than in The Martian. "
"Very similar writing and style to The Martian but a much different story. Earth is in grave danger and we have a science teacher left to save it! Awesome story but does get heavy into science/physics for long stretches. I also wanted a different ending…don’t want to spoil, but I’m a sucker for everything always working out in a story."
