"Very moving, incredibly sad, and with so many life lessons. Teaches appreciation for life and relationships; need to demonstrate sympathy to people and using that with interactions as you may not know what others have lived (living) or their experiences. Great representation."

"I Dont Think There Are Even Words To Properly Rate This Book Which I May Even Argue Is A Work Of Art I Found Myself Highlighting Taking Pauses To Soak In What I Just Read Tears Streaming Down My Face Highly Recommend But It Is Not An Easy Read Or For The Faint Hearted"

"I want to start by saying this is a really heavy book. I had to take a few breaks to process the absolute devastation I was reading. I have never read a book as sad and heartbreaking as this one.
It’s so beautifully well written. Highly, highly recommended this if you’re looking for a book to turn you into an emotional mess."

"This story follows four college friends into adulthood, a simple premise with a set of complicated characters. The author does not shy away from really difficult topics and situations, so heed all trigger warnings (as noted in most all reviews). I was immersed in these lives, but had to pause several times to absorb the gravity of the trauma. Not a light read. "

"Wouldn't read again or recommend. The writing style was amazing. Prose was interesting. It had a lot of things going for it.. but a lot of things were just too much. Too many pages. Too many farfetched characters. Too depressing. "

"I have so many things to say about this book… This is the kind of book that I will not recommend people to read. It is so beautifully written. The characters were heavy yet real… The storyline was dense and deep. I could write more praise but I still think that all these good things about this book are NOT worth the hurt you will experience while reading it. It was devastating. I wanted it to end so I can have a rest… I can’t think of anything bad Jude had not experienced in this book… I suffered while reading his suffering. This book is not just a “sad” book. The word ‘sad’ is not even a close description of this book. If you want to read it, then please check the TWs first. Also, know that it is very graphic,,, everything was described in explicit details,,, details that were very uncomfortable at times. At this point, I don’t even know if I like or hate this book. I just know that it was good but equally bad. "

"What a beautiful and tragic story. I fell in love with all the characters, trauma and all. If you want a happy story this isn’t it… but if you have this on your list to read, put itat the top."

"It is a heavy read, exploring the trauma of life, brokenness of human experience, often impossible to heal no matter the effort. It’s one of those books that it pains to read but you can’t put it down. Very well written. Haunting. "
