"Rarely do I read books where the plot is entirely predictable, and the characters act like poor caricatures of humans with the shallowest motivations possible rather than real humans. Alas, this book had both of those. Maybe this is a good book for you if you need something easy and half-interesting to read on the beach, or if you love hating on characters rather than rooting for them. The only characters I cared about were the side characters (Eddie and Angela, mainly). The Holli side plot was completely undeveloped, and the Andy connection was a barely-there plot driver that tried to justify the MC couple's thoughts for about a chapter. Yawn. Read Riley Sager instead. "
"2.5/5
This book was so slow the main characters inner dialogue is so painful to sit through she goes in circles contradicting herself.
I'm telling you this book would've been 100 pgs shorter if it wasn't for her babblingshe also makes the most annoying decisions. the most "interesting "part about this book was the documentary aspect she was making. The ending "plot twist" was okay I had a feeling that's how it was gonna play out. I thought it would be thrilling and crazy but it just wasn't I would say there's a few bits and pieces when it's was intriguing but over all was just meh. really The most funny part of this book is the way they get away with doing the most absurd things like there's just no way it was so unbelievable it was comedic at that point. I would say the only reason I finished is the audiobook narrator was great at adding depth when there just wasn't any."
