Stieg Larsson
Mikael Blomkvist, crusading journalist and publisher of the magazine Millennium, has decided to run a story that will expose an extensive sex trafficking operation between Eastern Europe and Sweden, implicating well-known and highly placed members of Swedish society, business, and government. But he has no idea just how explosive the story will be until, on the eve of publication, the two investigating reporters are murdered. And even more shocking for Blomkvist: the fingerprints found on the murder weapon belong to Lisbeth Salander--the troubled, wise-beyond-her-years genius hacker who came to his aid in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and who now becomes the focus and fierce heart of The Girl Who Played with Fire. As Blomkvist, alone in his belief in Salander's innocence, plunges into an investigation of the slayings, Salander herself is drawn into a murderous hunt in which she is the prey, and which compels her to revisit her dark past in an effort to settle with it once and for all. "Somehow, this might have been better than the first. This time it’s Salander who finds herself needing rescuing. Unreal ending to where I have to read the final of the first three."

"It’s sad #stieglarrson didn’t live to see his trilogy become well loved. All three of the books were fantastic, #wellwritten #twists #pain and #healing "

"This book went a lot slower for me than the first. It picked up towards the end, before ending on a cliffhanger to get you to read the next book. Maybe one day, but I need a break, that was long and drawn out. "

"Abandoned at 16% read. Lisbeth becomes completely unrecognizable and it completely put me off. "

"It’s been years since I read it so I’ve lost a lot of the details, but from what I can remember I really enjoyed the contrast between the Mikael and Lisbeth characters, such different characters that come together and create a special and unexpected pair. "

"I was expecting this book to be just as remarkable as the 1st book in this trilogy and for the most part it was........the thing that I didn't really care for was the massive amounts of sexual activity in the beginning of the book.....granted this book is about the 'sex-trafficing business' but that really was not the problem.......it was all the relationships going on with the main characters. It takes a bit to get used to the Swedish way of lifestyle.......I had to keep telling myself that it was written in a different country and they way of life is different there than here in the USA. Other than that........the story of Lisbeth and the absolutely horrible and awful things that happened to her make for a great storyline and I was always trying to figure out what was going to happen next.....at one point in the book I found myself yelling outloud in my Jeep "Oh My Hell!" when a major part of the story was revealed........Steig Larsson really does know how to write a story that will keep you guessing and wondering.....perhaps that is why so many people are reading his books.......he is the Master of writing a good thriller......."
