"I cracked up several times… many times, in fact.
I thought the chemistry was actually pretty good… definitely more palpable after he “Titanics” her …. and after their first “real” kiss …. and the steamy shower scene 🎬
Enjoyed the #soundtrack & felt that it fit the overall weightlessness & frivolity of the film… but there were some scattered moments where the teasing got a little out-of-hand & just a tad heavy (the insensitive insults felt “crass” as someone mentioned in their review) …. But as they say, “It’s a thin line…”
And, “All’s well that ends well” — the ending credit scenes were lighthearted & sweet 😊 My husband & I both enjoyed it, so: 👍🏾👍🏾 "
"A great romcom that starts off with a great first date for the couple, only for it to go downhill the morning after! Worth watching as the two protagonists find themselves brought together again and again only to work together for their benefit as they begin to understand each other, as well as nice ending song with a montage of singers!!"
"4⭐️ Welcome to the land of tropical paradise, cute koalas and impossible beauty standards! This romcom is a whole super sexy vibe that’s mildly naughty and raunchy. Glen Powell’s abs are only outdone by Sydney Sweeney’s cleavage and each should’ve gotten top billing. I know I know..I’m objectifying but everyone in this movie is impossibly beautiful and mostly naked….
Given all that, it took me awhile to catch on they were doing a riff of Much Ado About Nothing..despite the Shakespeare quotes and comical scheming (entertainingly executed by GaTa and Bryan Brown). But let’s be real I wasn’t going in with high expectations and this movie isn’t high art. Some of it IS definitely cringey but some of it had enough wit to have me laughing out loud. Plus I have to say it was super fun to see Bryan Brown along with Rachel Griffiths (I miss her!) and Dermot Mulroney (looking handsome and only the slightest bit grizzled 😉). The supporting cast really contribute to the fun and definitely have their moments!…
I desperately needed some daylight after coming off both Ripley AND Baby Reindeer..AT THE SAME TIME (😳🥺) and this did it. Watch if you could use a bright, beachy Aussie vacation with a few laughs and a little inappropriate nudity 🤭"
"I had low expectations going into this rom/com and it was slightly better than I predicted. The story is predictable and unrealistic. The movie is aesthetically pleasing as the entire cast is comprised of attractive people in various stages of undress and most of the movie takes place against the backdrop of Australia. But the cast is likeable and there are some good laugh out loud moments sprinkled throughout. Sydney Sweeney is beautiful but mumbles the last part of just about every line. It was a somewhat fun watch for the type of movie that it is. 6/10"
"ROM-COMS ARE BACK BABY! I will admit I was a little worried about how good this film would be, what with the disaster of a first trailer and the rumor of reshoots, but OMG! They pulled it out and it was AMAZING! The trailer made Sydney’s acting look stilted, but in the actual film she was so natural and relatable as Bea! Glen was hilarious and charming as Ben. Not to mention, their chemistry was smoldering. I’m talking How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days level of vibes. The entire cast was also fantastic! As for the writing, it was genuinely hysterical and subtly witty and it had such brilliant nods to the original source material of Much Ado About Nothing! I especially loved the imbedded quotes throughout the film and the similar names to the original characters! I also loved how they stayed true to the original plot while also making it modern and original. The idea of Bea being smart enough to catch on to them all trying to set her and Ben up and playing into it was genius! I also adored how they were consistent with the original plot of the wedding potentially being ruined, while not making me hate Claudio’s (in this Claudia) character. The whole thing was sweet, well thought out and most importantly…. It made me squeal. LOVED!"

"This has all the prerequisites. Two sexy leads, an exotic location, lots of RWP stuff. But, it was just ok for me. I wasn’t really feeling any chemistry between them at all. The hype didn’t help. And the enemy to lovers trope is a tight wire and this fell off to just watching them be super mean to each other for the majority of the movie. Not fun. But it also does have its moments and it’s still worth a watch to look at all the beautiful people and scenery. "
